On Sunday Mother's Day we were invited to participate in an international picnic together with Zusammen leben e.V. . The day included live music, delicious food, facepainting, henna, a small petting zoo, and The Freiburg Review had an arts and crafts stand! It was such an honor to be a part of it and what fun was had by all! We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who came to help out in any capacity to make that day the success that it was.

The English department at Freiburg University is organizing a creative writing course with Prof. George Ellenbogen to be held from April 11-15. The course will focus on memoir and personal essay writing and is designed to help students learn to write from their own experiences. It also can be used to fulfill several different BA requirements (see flyer for details). Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. All those interested should send an email as soon as possible to Dr. Gert Fehlner: [email protected]. See attached flyer for more details. We are happy to extend an open invitation to anyone wanting to celebrate our third release with us on the 6th of February in Jos Fritz Café (Wilhelmstr. 15/1) starting 20:30.
Beside fun, drinks, and a generally good vibe, there will be readings by Alex Impola, Zain Saeed, Stefanie Sturm, Felix Reinhuber, lukas Paulun, and Anne Lena Danner. See you there... It is past our submission deadline, and we find ourselves with many great submissions to consider for our next volume.
We would like to thank all those who submitted their work and put their trust in us. We will be reviewing all the submissions over the next few weeks. To be able to consider every piece with the due respect it deserves, we will need time and your patience. We will definitely get back to all those who submitted. Thank you very much for your ongoing support! The Freiburg Review is making more headlines. Our second edition has gotten the attention of the Kulturforum Freiburg.
